Healthy Steamed Broccoli in sour and Sweet Dressing – A perfect side for light meals

This is what I packed as a side in the lunch for my daughter and husband. A healthy and citrus treat with bursting flavors of orange, ginger, honey and soy. It will satisfy your taste buds on the days when you want a light meal and yet filling. Give it a try.. It is not fired.. It is not stir fried.. It has no oil :).

Ingredients :


Broccoli Florets : 1&1/2 cups steamed for 3 minutes in microwave
For dressing:
Orange juice : 2 tbsp
Soy sauce : 1/2 tsp
Ginger : 1/2 tsp freshly grated
Honey : 1 tsp
Salt and pepper : to taste

Method :

Mix all the ingredients of the dressing together and whisk them well.

Pour over the steamed broccoli. Let it sit for sometime.

Enjoy it cold or warm. Every single bite is refreshing and bursting with flavors.

Note :
You can add a splash of sesame oil in dressing, if you like to give more body to the dressing.
You can add sesame seeds or toasted almonds on top before eating.
You can cut some mandarin orange and add to broccoli for more fun.
