Whenever I am in down the drains kind of mood, my mom always tells me to put a piece of chocolate in my mouth and the world will be better. It is magical because it happens, as soon as the chocolate touches my tongue, it takes away my worries. Imagine, what a big slice of Chocolate Cake can do for your spirit!!

My sister in law, Neha shared this recipe with me. It was about 7-8 years ago, that I had tasted Microwave Chocolate Cake {Eggless} for the first time at her house. I was totally in awe of the texture and taste of the cake. It was hard for me to believe that it was made in the microwave.

So much time flew by and I had forgotten all about it, until Myraa (my little one) went berserk few days ago asking for a chocolate cake and that too quick. I could have bought her a ready made cake, that would have been the quickest solution, but then I didn’t do it. I totally dislike market bought chocolate cakes that are overtly sweet and too fashionable in the name of a simple chocolate cake.

I pinged Neha and requested the recipe. She was very kind to share the recipe then and there. And now here I am, sharing the recipe with you all.

A Chocolate cake Recipe Shared is worth Million bucks Shared! That might sound like an exaggeration to many. But I can swear by it. And especially, when it is quick, easy, eggless or eggfree, soft, moist, and a perfect chocolate cake recipe.

I made the Quick Chocolate Sauce for the cake and boom that added to the charm of the simple chocolate cake in microwave.

This cake uses condensed milk , All purpose flour , sugar , baking soda , baking powder, cocoa powder, butter, chocolate chips, heavy cream  and semi sweet chocolate chips .

The kitchen utensils used are – mixing bowl , pyrex 7 cups glass bowl that is microwave safe , a kitchen whisk .

Microwave Chocolate Cake {Eggless} - Made in 10 minutes from start to finish.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
  • All purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Cocoa powder, unsweetened - ¼ cup
  • Sugar - ⅛ cup
  • Salt - 1 small pinch
  • Baking powder - ½ tsp
  • Baking soda - ½ tsp
Wet Ingredients
  • Butter - ¼ cup, melted
  • Condensed Milk - 200 gms (1/2 of the 400 gms can)
  • Vanilla essence/extract - 1 tsp
  • Water - 1 cup
Ingredients for Quick Chocolate Sauce (optional)
  • Heavy Cream - ¼ cup
  • Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips - ⅓ cup
Instructions
  1. Grease your microwave safe bowl (preferrably glass) with some butter. Use at least 7 cups or 1.65L capacity bowl. Do not use the smaller bowl or else the cake batter will over flow the bowl in the process. Set aside.
  2. Take a mixing bowl and add all the wet ingredients, except water. Stir well till condensed milk is mixed well with other ingredients.
  3. Now add all the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl. Mix and add water. Stir everything well into a batter, free of lumps.
  4. Pour the batter in the greased Pyrex Bowl.
  5. Microwave on HIGH for EXACTLY 7 MINUTES.
  6. Take out the bowl from the microwave. Let it rest for 3-4 minutes before you take it out from the bowl.
  7. Run a knife inside, along the sides of the bowl and then carefully take the cake out by flipping it gently on a plate. Your Microwave Chocolate Cake is ready to be devoured.
Making Quick Chocolate Sauce
  1. In case you want to enrich it more with quick chocolate sauce, then here is the simplest recipe for that.
  2. Warm up the heavy cream in microwave safe bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds. Take it out and add the semi sweet chocolate chips to the bowl. Take a fork or a spoon and stir the cream and chocolate chips well, till they combine to make a sauce. That's it!
  3. Drizzle this sauce over the super soft and super moist microwave chocolate cake.
  4. Cut a thick slice of it and INDULGE!
