    I was not aware of the Ditch name of turmeric…. But the fact is turmeric is full of healing powers. Either you live in cold climate…keeps u warm… If you live in temperate humid climate..keeps you protected from infections and so on..
    Would you believe if I tell you that in India haldi as we call turmeric, is used as on oral antiseptic as well for minor burns and cuts ;).

    I love turmeric called kurkuma in Belgium. It is very healthy, I agree! I use it in nearly everything & love it in home-made tea too! Yummm!
