- 12 White Eggs
- 2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 4 tbsp Distilled White Vinegar
- 6-7 cups water or more if needed
Dissolve Turmeric and Distilled White Vinegar in a bowl.Place the inner pot inside the Instant Pot. Plug it in.
I used PIP that is Pot in Pot method. Where I placed a Stackable Pot inside the liner. You may place the eggs directly in the Inner Pot. Or use IP Egg Rack.
If you are making this directly in the main inner pot, then add the turmeric and vinegar mix to the pot. Now add 1 cup of water and mix well. If you are using a PIP method, then first add 1 cup water in the main inner pot. Then place the smaller pot inside. And follow steps as mentioned above.
Add eggs to the pot. Fill the pot with water just enough to cover the top of the eggs.
Close the lid and set the valve to SEALING.Press Manual/Pressure Cook and set it on HIGH/MORE for 10 minutes.
When the timer beeps, follow QR (Quick Pressure Release).Open the lid, remove the eggs carefully from the Pot. Give them a quick bath in cold water. They are ready.
You may eat them within 2 hours of cooking them. Or you may use these as Easter Table Decor. I plan to do both.
Can we eat Dyed Easter Eggs?
There is a time window in which you can certainly consume these. After boiling the Eggs, they are good to be eaten within 2 hours time window. Or refrigerate the eggs before the 2 hours window expires. Anytime after that, do not eat these eggs at room temperature. I actually peeled and stored the eggs in the refrigerator to use them in a curry later.
How long to cook Eggs in Instant Pot for Hard Boiled Eggs?
Eggs boil perfectly with the timing I used and peel off easily as well. I cooked them for 10 minutes on High Pressure and followed Quick Pressure Release. I contemplated time a lot since 5-5-5 is a commonly followed method for hard-boiled eggs. But to my pleasant surprise, 10 minutes and QR worked really well. The eggs peeled easily as well.
