Easy Air Fryer Cauliflower Recipe

Air fryer cauliflower bites are so delicious, easy and quick to make. It is a perfect side to any main dish or add it to salads and wraps.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound or a small Cauliflower
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili powder or Parika check notes for more options
  • 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil

      Prep the Cauliflower

      • First take the cauliflower and wash it thoroughly. Pat it dry. Further trim the thick stem and green leaves at the bottom.
      • Now break the cauliflower in medium size florets either with hands or use a knife.
      • Further take a Mixing Bowl and add the cauli florets to it. Now add Olive Oil, Turmeric, salt and Red chili powder or paprika to the cauliflower.
      • Give it all a good toss to make sure that seasoning is well coated over the florets.

      Air fry

      • Place the seasoned florets inside the Air fryer basket evenly. Do not overcrowd the basket. Place the basket in the air fryer and cook at 390*F for 10-15 minutes. Flip and toss it a few times for even cooking.

      PRO TIP

      • The timing may vary. If the florets are small they will get cooked faster. And if the florets are large then they may take longer time. Also the timing may vary depending upon the model of the air fryer.

      How to Roast Cauliflower in Oven?

      • If you do not have air fryer then you can roast these in the oven. Preheat the oven at 425*F and then bake or roast it in the oven for about 18-20 minutes.

      How to serve Roasted Cauliflower?

      Although these taste amazing as is, but you can pair these roasted cauliflower bites in multiple ways. Here are some options:
      1. These crispy and delicious florets taste so well with GREEN CHUTNEY! This chutney is made with cilantro leaves, mint leaves, and few spices.
      2. Spruce these up with some lemon juice and chopped cilantro leaves.
      3. Cool Ranch Dip is always a hit.
      4. You can eat these as is like a snack. Or these are great when paired with a main meal as a side dish.
      5. I often prepare these Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites as a part of meal prep and serve as a part of my Buddha Bowl.
      6. Also I love making a wrap out of it with pickled onions and sour cream.

      Some FAQs about cooking Cauliflower in Air Fryer

      1. Foremost make sure that cauliflower is fresh and not frozen.
      2. Further make sure that the caulifower is free of any blemishes or dark spot.
      3. Sometimes it is not possible to buy the cauliflower on the same day. Therefore if you have one sitting in the refrigerator, then use that.
      4. If you are using fresh cauli, then it will take more minute.
      5. But if you are using an older sitting cauli, then the time to roast this one will be less.
      6. The time will also vary depending upon the size of the flowers you cut. Larger flowers will use more time as compared to the smaller ones.
      7. Different model of the air fryer may also cook the cauliflower at different times.
      8. STORAGE - You can refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container.
      9. RE HEAT - The leftovers can be easily re heated in air fryer at 400*F.

      Air Fryer Cauliflower Florets Seasoning Options

      1. Being an Indian, I really love seasoning cauliflower with Indian spices like turmeric, cumin, red chili powder and garam masala.
      2. You can keep it simple too with just salt and pepper.
      3. Another great simple seasoning is salt, garlic powder and paprika. That's it!
      4. Few more fancier seasonings to use are - TACO, CAJUN, CHIPOTLE, FAJITA, JERK, BARBEQUE and whatever you want.
