Easy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Mushrooms Recipe

Garlic Butter Air Fryer Mushrooms are super YUMMY and so easy to make. These serve as a perfect vegetarian side dish to any meal. You can add these to salads, pastas or burgers. This is a low carb recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Mushrooms, Baby Bella check notes for options
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce, light
  • 1 clove Garlic minced or finely grated
  • 1/2 tbsp Parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper powder or to taste

    Wash and Prep the Mushrooms before cooking

    • Since mushrooms have a lot of mud on the stem and its surface, it is very important to clean the mushrooms properly before cooking. Wash every single mushroom under cold water first. And then wipe them clean with a paper towel. Make sure to remove all the mud. Trim the stems a little at the bottom.
    • Once the washing and cleaning is done, cut the mushrooms in halves or quarteres. If there are any larger mushrooms, then you can cut them into 6 pieces also. Make sure that all the pieces are more or less of the same size for even cooking. Now place them in a mixing bowl.

    • Further add olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt and pepper to the mushrooms. Mix all the ingredients well with either hands or a fork.

    Air frying Mushrooms

    • Preheat your air fryer at 400*F. Now place the seasoned mushrooms inside the air fryer basket. Make sure to place them in a single layer and not over crowd these for even cooking.
    • Air fry the garlic butter mushrooms for about 3 minutes. Take out the air fryer basket and shake the mushrooms inside. Place the basket back and air fry further for 2 minutes or they look cooked. It will take about 5-6 minutes. Do not over do it or else these will become dry.
      These garlic butter mushrooms are so easy to make in air fryer. A great side to any dinner meal.
    • If you have taken the smaller mushrooms and halved them then these will take about 7-8 minutes.
      The cooking time will vary according to the thickness of the chopped mushrooms.

    Oven Roasted Mushrooms

    • Prep the mushrooms the same way as above.
    • Preheat the oven at 400*F. Spread the seasoned mushrooms on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes till sizzling warm and juicy. CHeck at about 8 minutes to make sure you do not overcook.

    • Mushrooms - I have used Baby Bella Mushrooms in this recipe. These mushrooms already have lot of flavor. But you can use white button mushrooms or cremini mushrooms for this recipe as well.
    • Olive Oil - Adds great texture and moisture to the mushrooms.
    • Butter - I melt the butter in microwave before adding to the mushrooms. Butter adds nice flavor and glaze to the mushrooms.
    • Soy Sauce - Light soy sauce adds beautiful umami flavor and color to the mushrooms.Do not skip adding it.
    • Garlic - Ofcourse yes. I recommend using fresh garlic clove instead of dry powdered garlic.
    • Salt and Pepper to taste.
    • Parsley - for garnish.
