Air fryer Jalapeno Poppers are so delicious and easy to make. Spicy Cheetos Crusted poppers are great for game night snack or any time apprtizer.

Cream Cheese Stuffing
- 4 ounce / 1/2 cup Cream Cheese room temperature
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp Chives, finely chopped see notes for options
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/8 tsp Black pepper or to taste
Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cup Spicy Cheetos Crumbs optional
- 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs or use 1/2 cup if not using Spicy Cheetos Crumbs

Clean Jalapenos
Wash the Jalapenos and pat them dry. Now slice these jalapenos vertically into 2 halves. Remove the seeds and the inner lining of the jalapeno. Set these hollowed jalapeno halves aside.
I would recommend that you use disposable gloves while doing that.
Prepare Cheese Stuffing
Take a mixing bowl and add cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt and black pepper to it. Mix all the ingredients well with a fork.
Prepare the Crumbs mix if you are using Spicy Cheetos (optional)
If you are not using spicy cheetos crumb then skip the below steps. And use the plain bread crumbs in a bowl.
If you want to add that nice kick factor to the poppers, then I recommend some Spicy Cheetos crumbs. Simply take a small snack size bag of spicy Cheetos and crush the content inside the bag with a rolling pin. Open the bag and you have your Spicy Cheetos Crumbs.
Now take another mixing bowl and mix the regular breadcrumbs with the spicy Cheetos crumbs. This is going to add the much-needed crust and kick to the poppers.
Stuffing & Prepping Jalapeno Poppers
Once all the things are ready, it is time to prep the jalapeno poppers for air frying.
Take 1 half of the jalapeno. Stuff it with Cheese stuffing and flatten it a bit. Now press the cheese stuffing side in the crumbs mix. Make sure that the cheese side is completely covered in the crumbs. Prepare all the jalapenos likewise and set aside.

Yes. Stuff these and refrigerate in single layer in an airtight container. When ready to air-fry, take these out and roll in the breadcrumbs. Air fry as directed in the recipe.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with foil and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until crisp on top!

How to cook frozen Jalapeno Poppers in air-fryer?
Air-fry the store-bought frozen jalapeno poppers at 390*f for 7-8 minutes.
Can I freeze these Poppers?
These can be frozen up to 3 months. But freeze them individually in a single layer first. And then place in freezer friendly bag and freeze.
How long do they stay good in refrigerator?
These are good for 3 days when refrigerated. When ready to eat, take them out and air fry at 390*f for 2 minutes till warm.
What are the Jalapeno Poppers Ingredients?
Whole Jalapenos
Chives - You can use either fresh chives or dry ones. In case you do not have chives, then you can use scallions/green onions or shallots.
Cream Cheese - I used whipped cream cheese. It is so much easier to use and spread. But use the cream cheese that is handy.
Cheddar Cheese - use the shredded cheddar cheese.
Breadcrumbs - Although I have used homemade breadcrumbs, you can use store bought panko breadcrumbs.
Spicy Cheetos Crumbs - Now listen, this is optional. Since I love good spicy food, so this is my quirky addition. You can totally skip it.
Spices - Garlic powder, Salt & Black Pepper
