Tips for Cooking Brussels Sprouts in an Air Fryer
- Make sure to cut Brussels sprouts into even-sized pieces. Brussels are dense vegetables. Therefore, cut them in uniform pieces to make sure they cook evenly.
- Season the brussels well is important! A good amount of oil, salt and pepper does the trick.
- Don’t overcrowd your Brussels sprouts. Layer the sprouts evenly in the air fryer basket.
- Shaking the brussels in between is important’. Give the air fryer basket a little shake halfway through cooking to expose brussels that may have been covered up.
- Every air fryer is different. You might have to increase your cooking time a bit to get them crispy and delicious!
What can I pair it with?
You can serve it on the side of any quinoa bowl. Although this is a good snack to eat as is, but you can serve it on the side of Fettuccine Alfredo or Creamy Pesto Pasta too.
How can I season the Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts?
There are plenty of ways to season these besides just salt and pepper.
Some of the best ways to season up your sprouts include:
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Crumbled feta cheese
- Red chili flakes
- Diced red onion
- Slivered almonds
- Dried cranberries
- Squeeze of Lemon Juice
- Garlic Powder
- Ranch Seasoning
- Balsamic Vinegar Drizzle
- Honey drizzle
How to store the leftovers?
Store the leftovers in air tight container and refrigerate. I wouldn't recommend freezing these since they might become mushy on re heating. Although if you are ok with that, then go ahead and freeze them for upto 4-5 months in freezer friendly bags.
How to Re-heat the refrigerated brussels?
Simply take these out and microwave for 2 minutes in microwave safe plate. Or you can re-heat these on gas top in a pan.
