I thought of making the paneer paranthas for breakfast today since Amit was leaving late for work. Checked the refrigerator and there was no paneer. Mozarella peeked from the side and I knew exactly what to do with it. A cold wet day, demanded something, just like that to heat up the soul and warm me up.

The addition of mozarella to these paranthas is just mind blowing. I was slightly skeptical initially to use mozarella in Parantha but then a good foodie is the one who can challenge her/his boundaries. So my dear friends, that’s what I did and I am soooooo glad that I did 😀. It was spicy! It was hot! It was melt in the mouth gorgeous and just ooohhhh soooo good!

Ahem! My apologies for tooting my own horn here! 😱

Taking these paranthas to Angie’s Fiesta Friday 101 ! I hope people will love it along with talented co-hosts, Jhuls and Mr. Fitz !!

This is how I made these !

I had fun making these in my Indian American kitchen. I hope you will have fun making these and munching on these too.

  1. You’re the parantha queen! They look so perfect! One of my favorite flatbreads, btw, other than naan. One of these days I’ll proudly make my own instead of cheating and buying frozen ones. Hey, they’re easy to make, right? NOT! But you make them look easy!

      1. Actually everybody in my family loves parantha. Btw, is it parantha or paratha (without n)? So I really should try making them. I tried once, but the recipe wasn’t a good one (an old cookbook that gives bad instructions) so the result was meh. But I’ll use your recipe next time!

        1. In my region it is pronounced with a sound of ‘n’ :).
If you want to try the paranthas, use my recipe for Khasta Parantha with potato curry.. That is more defined Recipe with pictograms. With your expert hand, I am sure you can pull it off effortlessly. ❤️❤️

  2. Sonal, these paranthas sound too awesome! I love mozarella cheese and glad that you have some inside your fridge to use it here. Your descriptions of these yummies just make me want to run to your house right now and beg you to make me some. 😀 It’s always fun to chat with you here at FF and thank you for bringing these. Enjoy your weekend and happy FF101! 🙂 xx

  3. Cheese in parathas. Now there is fusion cooking at its best. They look fabulous. I love the way you can just cook them on the spur of the moment like that. Happy Fiesta Friday !

  4. Ahh love the sound of chilli and cheese parathas. I should have all the ingredients on hand, so I’ll give it a go. Enjoy your weekend Sonal.

  5. I love using mozzarella in parathas too, Sonal. Tastes so yummy, doesn’t it? I also like that very appealing subji in your photos:)
