What are the ingredients of Air Fried Ravioli?

Ravioli – Now there are many kinds and size of raviolis in the market, but you can use any. Although I chose big spinach & cheese ravioli for this recipe, you can use ravioli with any kind of stuffing. Also, you can use either frozen or dry or fresh ravioli for this recipe. I used dry ravioli that had to be boiled first. Just follow the instructions at the back of the packet and prepare as directed. Cool it before air frying.

Egg – Eggs are used to coat the pasta so that breadcrumbs stick.

Breadcrumbs – You can use either home-made or store-bought breadcrumbs. I used a combination of home-made breadcrumbs and panko crumbs for this recipe.

Seasoning – I have used Italian seasoning, salt & pepper as seasoning. You can use garlic powder too.

Oil Spray – Oil spray makes the toasted ravioli crispier and avoids the food to stick at the bottom,

How to make Crispy Air Fryer Ravioli?

It is a fairly easy recipe to follow. I am going to divide the recipe in sub-heading for you to easy to follow.

PREPARE THE RAVIOLI BEFORE AIR FRYING

Depending upon what kind of ravioli you are using, prepare the ravioli as per the package instructions. Fresh ravioli can be used as is. If you are boiling the ravioli, then cool it completely before using. I normally have boiled ravioli in the refrigerator for kids to make a quick meal.

PREHEATING THE AIRFRYER

Preheat the air-fryer at 400*F for 5 minutes.

PREPARE THE BREADING MIX

Take a Mixing Bowl and add breadcrumbs, panko breadcrumbs, Salt & Black Pepper, Italian seasoning to it. Mix all the ingredients well. Set aside.

PREPARE THE EGG BATH

Take another Mixing Bowl and add 1 egg with 2 tbsp of water. Mix with a fork and set aside.

For non-egg version, check the notes of the recipe.

BREADING THE RAVIOLI

Take one ravioli and dip it in the egg bath first. And then roll it nicely in the Breadcrumbs mix. Set it aside on a plate or sheet lined with Parchment Paper if you are using it. Repeat with all the ravioli and set them aside.

AIRFRYING RAVIOLI

Now place AIRFRYER Parchment Paper if you are using it, inside the basket. Place the breaded ravioli inside at a little distance from each other. Spray it with oil spray. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.

AIRFRY the breaded RAVIOLI for 5-7 minutes. Flip these in between for even cooking. You will know that these are done when the raviolis turn golden brown. If you over air fry, then these will burst, and cheese will come out.

My large ravioli were done in 6-7 minutes and puffed up a bit after air frying. Smaller ravioli might get done sooner. Keep an eye.

HOW TO SERVE AIR FRYER ROASTED RAVIOLI?

Fried Ravioli is served with hot marinara sauce on the side.

How do I store the leftovers?

Just refrigerate the leftovers in airtight container after they are cooled to room temp.

How do I re-heat Toasted Ravioli?

Re-heat the refrigerated ravioli in air fryer at 370*F for few minutes till crispy and warm.

Can I air-fry frozen ravioli?

Yes, you can use frozen ravioli for this recipe. Follow the egg bath and breading steps. Air fry for few more minutes than recommended. I would still recommend thawing them first.

How to make sure that ravioli does not stick to the air fryer basket?

You can either use air fryer friendly parchment paper for that. Or use oil spray lightly to coat the raviolis a bit.

How to make Fried Ravioli in the Oven?

Prepare the ravioli with egg bath and breadcrumbs as instructed in main recipe. Preheat the oven at 400*F and then bake these on a baking sheet in the oven for about 12-15 minutes till they turn golden. Check in between.
