Ingredients

Instructions

ALWAYS READ THE COMPLETE RECIPE BEFORE STARTING. GATHER YOUR INGREDIENTS BEFOREHAND. ALWAYS READ THE NOTES FOR ADDED INFORMATION & TIPS.

    Prepare the Mushrooms

    • Wash the mushrooms thoroughly in Kitchen Colander and dry them with a kitchen towel. Now remove the stems off the mushrooms. Discard half of the stems and keep the half for the stuffing.

    Make the Cream Cheese Stuffing

    • First of all, make sure that the cream cheese is soft and ready to use. Take it out and bring at room temperature to use. I normally use spreadable cream cheese. It is easier to process.
    • Now take the Food Processor and add Pickled Jalapenos, cloves of garlic and mushroom stems to it. Process them fine. Further add dry Parsley & soft cream cheese to the processor and blend till mixed well.
    • Take the cream cheese stuffing out in a Mixing Bowl and set aside.

    Stuff the Mushrooms

    • Now take one mushroom cap at a time. Fill the hole with the cream cheese stuffing. Sprinkle the stuffed mushrooms with a bit of Everything Bagel Seasoning . Further finish all the mushroom caps likewise and set aside to air fry.

    Air Fry the Stuffed Mushrooms

    • Preheat the Air fryer at 390*F for 2-3 minutes. Now spray the air fryer basket with a Cooking Oil Spray. Further place the stuffed mushrooms gently inside the basket one at a time. Do not over crowd the basket. You have to air fry these in 2 batches.
    • Now air fry the stuffed mushrooms for 8-10 minutes. The timing depends upon the size of the mushrooms. Smaller mushrooms might get done in 7-8 minutes. Larger mushrooms might take 10-12 minutes. You can check the done-ness by seeing the color change of the cheese stuffing and the stuffing sits stiffer on the mushrooms.
    • Once done, take these out with Kitchen Tongs and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve these warm with some Buffalo Sauce or sauce of your choice.

As you get ready to to make the stuffed mushrooms, you will want to blend all the ingredients in a food processor.  This gives them the perfect consistency for stuffing.

How do you avoid the mushrooms sticking in the basket?

I normally spray the air fryer basket with the cooking spray or olive oil spray. Also I spray the mushrooms with the cooking oil lightly.

    Can you freeze stuffed mushrooms?

You can freeze them before you plan to cook them. Although my personal preference is to cook them fresh. This is such an easy recipe with minimum prep. You actually can easily pull it off on time. You can prepare the stuffing in advance.

    Can I double the recipe?

Yes easily. You can double the recipe. It will take 3-4 rounds to air fry all.

You can easily refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container.

How to re-heat the refrigerated left-overs?

Put them in air fryer and air fry for 2-3 minutes till warm.

Can I make Stuffed Mushrooms in the oven?

Absolutely. Preheat the oven at 400*F. Bake on a baking sheet inside the oven for 15 minutes or till done.

What are the other choices for stuffing?

    1. Use any cheese of your choice like ricotta or cheddar or gouda.
    2. Replace pickled jalapenos with fresh chopped jalapenos.
