It is kind of crazy but very exciting. While, my mind is working 100 miles an hour on the possibilities of the recipes using Philips Air Fryer , I keep kicking myself in the rear for not making use of it earlier. This is the best kitchen gadget invention of the century, in my opinion. There is no holding back.

Here are some Benefits and Pointers using your Air Fryer!
- Always use your Air-fryer on a counter which has space around for the hot air to circulate and escape. Do not use it placed near the wall. Make your Air Fryer your best friend and use it frequently.
- The products made in Air fryer are crisp and crunchy but not exactly how they are when deep fried. So expect that.
- It is great to prepare low fat meals. The meals prepared are not oil-free but very less oil is used comparatively.
- The air-fryer is very easy to clean up.
- The frozen fried foods are so conveniently heated in it without re-frying the food.
- All your fritters, fries and wadas can be reheated in it, maintaining the crispness of the food.
- There is no after smell of the fried food, in the house.
- You do not have to baby sit the food while it air fries inside the air fryer. You have more time on hand.
- It has multiple use and can be used for baking and grilling as well besides air-frying.
- It is definitely a smart kitchen tool. Keep a watch on my blog for more Air Fryer recipes.
I fully recommend buying the air-fryer whenever your budget allows. Go for the regular size for smaller family and you can buy the XL for larger family.

We live a very sedentary life style and with that, one needs to understand that eating a tons of deep fried snack is neither good for your weight nor for the DELICATE HEART!
Have a look at the nuts that are golden and beautiful. Who can say that these are not deep fried? These are air fried with very little GHEE . My Vegan friends can use olive oil or the oil of their choice for the same.
I promise that the recipe is so simple and doable that you will be making it again and again.

Philips Air Fryer Salted Nuts
Equipment
- mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1/2 cups Cashews whole
- 1/2 cups Almonds whole
- 1 tsp Oil of your choice / GHEE
- To Taste Salt & Pepper
You may choose the nuts of your choice like pecans or walnuts, or macademia etc. You may air fry these together as a mix or separate.
Follow the same instructions for Fox Nuts/makhana.
Instructions
- Preheat the Air fryer at 350*F/180*C for 2 minutes.
- Take a bowl and add cashews & almonds in it. Add 1 tsp of oil or melted ghee to the bowl and toss the nuts in it.
- Place these nuts in the air fryer. Air fry these for 6 minutes. At 4 minutes, take the basket out and give the nuts a good toss. Put the basket back again. Air fry for the rest of the 2 minutes. These will be nice pinkish in color.
- If you need darker rich color, air fry for 2 minutes more. Take these out and empty the hot nuts in a glass or steel bowl (no plastic please). Immediately sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss well and serve.
- STORAGE - Store in an air tight container, only once these are cooled down to the room temperature.
- You can choose to air fry these either together or separately.

Can i not use oil so it become roasted? Im trying to avoid oil in my diet as possible?
Sure you can make it without oil. The only thing is that salt and pepper might not stick to much to it.
Can I add salt before air frying it?
You probably can. Try a small batch and see.
The Makhanas turned out so good. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Will try with other nuts Today 🙂
Hi. Do you need to cover the nuts? Do they not fly out the bowl when cooking?
Shari – don’t cover your nuts. Nuts are heavy in weight, they won’t fly.
Came out perfect! No burning in the oven. 🙂
Yayy! Thanks for trying and the feedback!
Wow, I must be living under a rock or something. When did this gadget become popular? I have never even heard of it, but it sure does the trick. I love nuts in any shape or form.
❤️
My air fryer sits in the corner and all I do in it is making french fries… have been wanting to try making muffins in them, but never got to doing it… :/ Looking at the nuts, I feel I shouldn’t be buying them anymore… will try this sometime for sure…
Totally get it in action Rafee
