Super Moist Banana Bread in Air Fryer

How to make Air Fryer Banana Bread?

Does your family loves Banana Bread? My family is crazy about it.

Every time I buy bananas, kids let these sit on the kitchen counter purposely in hope for the banana bread. Yup that crazy!

This time I wanted to try Banana Bread in Air Fryer and it came out so perfect – super moist & delectable. And it is the perfect amount for the family of 4.

Now if you ask me, why in air fryer and not in the oven? My answer is – why not?

Air fryer cooks faster & is so efficient for summer baking. No need to heat the whole house with the oven and still can enjoy a delicious dessert.

Honestly I am so glad that I baked my banana bread in it. I wasn’t so sure about it when I started. But to my pleasant surprise, it came out super moist & soft. The recipe is really simple to follow. I am sticking with it now. I like the portion too. Not too much of it to finish for days. Just enough to enjoy at the moment.

It is as easy as whisking the ingredients together, pouring it into the cake pan and letting the air fryer do the rest of the work.

How to make BANANA BREAD in AIR FRYER?

It is a fairly simple recipe.

PREPARE THE BANANA BREAD BATTER

  1. Preheat the air fryer at 310*F for about 5 minutes.
  2. Grease a 6 inches cake pan with butter or oil and set aside.
  3. Take a small bowl and mix the dry ingredients together – All Purpose Flour, Salt & Baking Soda
  4. Add ripe bananas in a medium mixing bowl and mush them with a Fork or a potato masher till these are creamy.
  5. Now add Sugar, Egg, Cooking Oil, Yogurt, Vanilla  Extract to the bananas. Mix all the ingredients well together with a small whisk or a beater till incorporated well.
  6. Now add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well with no lump formation. Fold the chopped walnuts in the batter.
  7. Pour the batter in the greased cake pan. If you would like then add some more Walnuts chopped on the top.

AIR FRYING BANANA BREAD

  1. Tap the cake pan a few times on the kitchen counter . Then place the cake pan carefully in the center of the air fryer basket.
  2. AIR FRY AT 310*f for about 30-38 minutes or till the middle of the bread/cake is done. Check with party pick or a chop stick at the middle for done-ness.
  3. Take the cake pan out of the air fryer basket. Remove the foil if you are using it. Let the bread sit in the pan for about 15 minutes before un-molding it. Unmold, slice and Enjoy.

IMPORTANT NOTES re AIR FRIED BANANA BREAD

  1. Timing depends upon how ripe your bananas are. If you are using very ripe browned bananas then it might take about 35-40 minutes. But the texture is amazing.
  2. You might notice that the bread is getting browned faster than getting cooked in the middle. Therefore at about 25-28 minutes, cover the cake pan with a Aluminum foil to avoid more browning of the bread.

How many servings does this have?

It is a smaller bread. It will give you good large 4 servings of the bread or 6 good servings to share and enjoy over a cup of coffee?

What can I substitute Walnuts with?

You can easily use pecans, or chocolate chips, or macadamia nuts. Or if you do not want to add anything, that is good too.

How can I enhance the flavors?

You can add 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon powder or nutmeg powder. Even cardamom powder will taste delicious.

Can I double the batch?

No you can not because of the air fryer restriction. You can make 2 separate breads.

How long is the shelf life?

Honestly, it is a small bread and chances are there will be no left-overs. But you can easily store it in the refrigerator in an air tight container for few days.

Is this recipe good for all kind of Air Fryers?

Yes. I have Philips Air fryer that is a small size. But you can make it easily in cosori, ninja, Instant Pot air fryer, Mealthy or whatever brand you have.

Can I bake it in the oven?

Yes. You will bake it at 350*F for about 28-33 minutes till the center is done.

Can I make it in the Instant Pot Vortex or Air Fryer Lid?

Yes. Follow the same instructions as regular air fryer.

    1. Made this today! Easy, moist, and all finished! Needed to cook a little longer than stated by a couple of minutes, but that happens when you bake in the oven too. Will definitely make again!
